Job Details

Med-X is seeking a Patient Relations Specialist with strong communication and team skills with the ability to receive and deliver feedback. This is a permanent, direct hire position.

The Patient Relations Specialist works well with patients and department managers. Possess strong communication and team skills with the ability to receive and deliver feedback. They have a solution-driven approach to problem-solving and inspire trust in team members and patients.

Daily Responsibilities Include:

  1. Greets patients and facilitates needs.
  2. Familiarize with the staffing each day.
  3. Facilitate patient processes with check-in.
  4. Prepare for upcoming appointments; forms, changes status, etc.
  5. Ensure records are filed correctly and new patient paperwork is completed accurately.
  6. End-of-day duties for the front desk.
  7. Assist with implementation of new patients/clients.
  8. Communicate with new clients/patients; develop a rapport where appropriate.
  9. Provided clinic and provider information as needed.
  10. Work side-by-side with providers and other clinic staff.
  11. Problem solves and resolves client issues.
  12. Collaborate with other departments to ensure patient satisfaction.
  13. Attends all team meetings and is an active participant.
  14. Participates in clinical infection prevention by daily cleaning of the clinic.
  15. Maintains safe, secure, and healthy work environments by following and enforcing standards and procedures, complying with legal regulations.
  16. Maintains patient confidence and protects operations by keeping patient care information confidential.
  17. Enhances health care practice reputation by taking ownership, showing flexibility by accomplishing new and different requests, exploring opportunities to add value to job performance.

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. 1-2+ years professional experience in customer/client management
  2. Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  3. Professional phone etiquette and ability to effectively work a multi-line phone system
  4. High-level interpersonal skills, including customer service
  5. Demonstrated record of reliable attendance and punctuality

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Experience in a healthcare setting
  2. Evidence of organization commitment through long tenure with prior employers

Essential Physical Functions:

  1. Must be able to stand and sit for long periods of time.
  2. Must be able to hear and speak verbal instructions.
  3. Must be able to read and write coherently.

Salary: $18 - $19/hour

$500 Sign On Bonus
