Med-X Staffing is recruiting for excellent Clinical Laboratory Technologist to work in a clinic setting. Our customers offer a Clinical Laboratory Technologist excellent benefits with good working environments.

Interested Clinical Laboratory Technologists (MLT or MT) should have a minimum of 1-year of laboratory experience. This is a direct-hire opportunity.

Essential Duties

  • Work alongside Clinic Assistants to support them in lab operations, including assisting in volunteer orientation and training, with the possibility of volunteer coordination
  • Assure adequate Clinic Assistant coverage in the lab to meet provider demands, communicating with a supervisor when there are anticipated shortages
  • Facilitate communication between clinic assistants and staff on various shifts
  • Draw blood from patients for medical testing.
  • Prepare and process blood tests.
  • Assist clinic coordinators, medical assistants, and healthcare providers with clinical and administrative tasks, including overseeing correct specimen collection and performance
  • Utilize laboratory computers to communicate with healthcare providers around performing, processing, and logging test results
  • Clean and organize laboratory area, including biannual cleaning of laboratory area
  • Maintain and sterilize all laboratory equipment appropriately
  • Coordinate laboratory site inspection visits to mobile clinics and SBHC with Lab Services Coordinator
  • Work with Lab Services Coordinator to assure proper ordering, stocking, and rotation of laboratory supplies
  • Model professional behavior for clinic assistants with clients, staff, and providers
  • Maintain records of laboratory test results, including archiving past laboratory test logs
  • Coordinate quality assurance and control tests on CLIA waived laboratory tests
  • Maintenance and documentation of laboratory equipment and sterilization of lab equipment
  • Support Lab Services Coordinator in any additional laboratory or laboratory volunteer functions.

  • Able to work with people from diverse ethnic, cultural, socioeconomic, and sexual preference backgrounds
  • Able to work both independently and as a member of a primary care team


  • Certified Lab Technician or equivalent clinical experience in a point of care testing environment preferred
  • Previous experience with EMR software, specifically Epic preferred
  • Previous experience in phlebotomy.
  • Previous experience in leadership valued

Compensation is to be determined based upon experience.

$500 Sign-on bonus
